OMTG, 1D has finally landed in Oz and we’re all counting down to see their concerts! Here are some totally rad tips to help you prepare for the show. 1D Concert Outfit Wear something that is comfortable. Jeans, Vans and a 1D tee are perf! Closed shoes are a must - peeps might tread on your toes during the show. If you don’t have a 1D tee then simply make your own… a plain white T-shirt and permanent marker will do the trick. 1D Autographs You might get the opportunity to ask the boys for their autographs, so make sure that you’re totally prepared! Take a permanent marker with you and something simple to get signed… a t-shirt or small notepad is perfect. Have the camera ready too because you might be able to score a cute pic with one of the boys! Now that would be awesome! 1D Posters and Signs The boys love their fans… especially when they make posters! Be creative and make something that will completely stand out from the rest. Glitter, bright colours and photos are some key materials to the perfect poster! Just be careful you don’t block anyone’s view with your beautiful masterpiece… they want to see the show too! UPDATE: Make sure your poster is made out of fabric, not cardboard. The security staff at some of the concerts has been taking cardboard posters away. Soothers and Water One Direction concerts are a squee-fest from the opening note until the last drum beat! You might need some throat lozengers and a bottle of water for the ride home after singing your heart out all night! So there we have it lovely TGs, you are now ready to totally rock with Harry and the boys. Have an amazing time and enjoy belting out all our fave 1D hits!

Went to One Direction! by Jessie | Jun 11, 2013 Hey TGs! I know it's been a while since the concert but I cannot get over how good the One Direction concert was! Did any of you go? I went with Angie and Molly which was great because they're just as excited about the boy's concert as I was. n the lead up to the concert we listened to their songs non-stop and I tried collecting as many posters as possible to put up on my wall. We even made posters for the concert to hold up in the air! On the day there were so many people there waiting in line but we were lucky enough to beat the majority of the crowd and got there early enough to score a spot near the front of the stage. 

The concert has to be one of the best I've ever seen. I could even swear that Niall looked me in the eyes when he sung the lyrics "That's what makes you beautiful"... Or that could have just been my imagination, but hey! A girl can dream right? We even tried to wait for them afterwards at the back gate of the venue so they could sign our posters but unfortunately they zipped off in their fancy van before we got a chance. Molly says the boys were waving from inside the van though which is really sweet. 

I can't wait until they come back to Oz! Has anyone got tickets to the 2013 concert? xoxo

My One Direction Secret by Jessie - Super 1D Fan | Nov 15, 2013 Hi TGs OMTG I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet, 'cos this was like the biggest night of the whole year for me! I don't know whether you got the October issue of Total Girl (it was the one with 1D on the cover) but I blogged about the gift TG Editor Amanda gave me when I got to be a part of the Popstar Party app: tickets to a secret One Direction concert! This was while they were in Australia for their concert tour this year; and I had been feeling super sad that I missed out on tickets when they went on sale ages ago. There were four tickets, so Mum, Dad and my sis came with me to the secret location. There were only about 50 people in the audience and the One Direction guys were just sitting on stools singing their songs just with a couple of people playing instruments in the background. It was so small, I felt like at one point Harry looked DIRECTLY at me! OMTG I will honestly never ever forget this night. It was sooo amazing. I can't believe my little blog has given me so many opportunities! Love Jessie xx

LOS ANGELES: The green slime flowed freely at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, where boy band One Direction and actress-singer Ariana Grande took home orange blimps handed out by youth cable channel Nickelodeon. Shot from canons, bursting forth from geysers and babbling in a river across the stage, everything and everyone, even "un-slimable" host Mark Wahlberg, were soaked by the green stuff. The British-Irish vocal group, who won favourite music group and favourite song for "Story of My Life," avoided the slime, accepting the awards from London where they are preparing for an upcoming tour. Grande, a 20-year-old pop singer and star of Nickelodeon series "Sam & Cat" won for favourite TV actress and "Sam & Cat" was voted favourite TV show. Viewers were able to cast votes online in more than 20 categories, spanning film, television, books, music and sport for the stunt-filled annual award show on the Viacom Inc-owned network. The show, in its 27th year, is an annual stop for Hollywood stars who are popular among teenage and young viewers. It featured performances by singer Aloe Blacc and indie rock band American Authors, who closed with the hit "Best Day of My Life." Singer-actress Selena Gomez won an orange blimp for the sixth consecutive year. The 21-year-old former Disney actress was voted favourite female singer. She had won favourite TV actress from 2009 to 2013. "I just have to say that you guys have been the most loyal, dedicated people in my life because you continuously every year bless me with the opportunity to do what I love," Gomez said accepting the award. A running gag throughout the stunt-filled show was how "Transformers" star Wahlberg could not be doused in slime. At the show's end, the actor was distracted by his kids and comedian Kevin Hart until the slime rained down Wahlberg, who crossed himself and huddled to withstand the deluge. "Iron Man" film series star Robert Downey Jr. won the favourite male "buttkicker" award for last year's blockbuster "Iron Man 3." "I wasn't always a buttkicker. In fact, life has kicked my proverbial butt countless times in many ways through many years until I decided one day to start kicking back," the 48-year-old actor who struggled with addiction early in his career. "To all the kids around this wonderful blue planet, thank you for this awesome statue, and remember: when life is kicking your butt, never forget to kick it back right in the face," Downey added. Actor-comedian Adam Sandler, 47, made it rain orange balls on the crowd with a garbled magic spell while accepting his blimp for favourite movie actor. Other winners included sci-fi adventure film "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" as favourite movie, and its star, Jennifer Lawrence, won for favourite movie actress and favourite female buttkicker, but was not on hand to accept the awards.
